Gas business development
KULSARY OIL & GAS is amoung the gas producer in the Kazakhstan. The Company develops significant gas reserves in Western and Eastern Siberia and has a unique portfolio licenses for the development hydrocarbon resources of the Russian continental shelf.
The strategic goal of KULSARY OIL & GAS is to ensure effective development and marketing of gas resources and to significantly increase the contribution of gas business to boost the Company shareholder value.
Exploration
The Company’s key priorities include development of the resource potential and efficient exploitation of mineral resources while strictly complying with environmental safety standards and widely implementing state-of-the-art technologies.
Exploration and production
The strategic goal of KULSARY OIL & GAS in the area of onshore exploration and production is to maintain production and to use the existing fields with maximum efficiency, to rationally implement new projects for ensuring a stable production profile and maximum HC recovery factor, as well as to develop economically feasible unconventional and complex reservoirs.
The company plans to effectively transfer its resources into reserves and to subsequently develop them in order to maintain production in the traditional areas of activity, as well as to create new clusters of oil and gas production on the basis of Vankor and eastern Siberia fields.
Commerce and logistics
The Company’s priorities in the area of commerce and logistics are maximization of oil and oil products sales efficiency, guaranteed supplying consumers with high-quality fuels, optimizing costs for delivery and supplies stability, constant improvement of offer for customers via its own retail network and wholesale outlets, as well as developing modern techniques of trading activity in Kazakhstan and abroad.
Petroleum / Oil Refinry
KULSARY OIL & GAS Petroleum refining or Oil refining is an industrial process in which crude oil is extracted from the ground and transformed and refined into useful products like Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), kerosene, asphalt base, jet fuel, gasoline, heating oil, fuel oils etc. Crude Oil consists of hydrocarbon molecules.
The company produces gas
The company produces gas using its several dozen subsidiaries and joint ventures in Western and Eastern Siberia, Kazakhstan, in the south of the European part of Russia, the Far East, and also in Asia and Africa. Every year the gas segment is becoming increasingly important for the Company.
In 2003, gas production by KULSARY OIL & GAS was 12.1 billion cubic meters (21% in total hydrocarbon production). The strategic goal of KULSARY OIL & GAS in gas business development is a long-term increase in the Company's shareholder value due to the growth in gas production volume ensured by a highly efficient long-term sales portfolio.
